Description

Production Designer role available in Thomasville, NC area. Duties incl: Dsgn & dvlp custom race-engine components & rltd products for manufacture using 3D modeling, machining knowl, & production requmts. Prep & revise dsgn specs, models, drawings, & production instructions for engine blocks, cylinder heads, manifolds, rocker covers, valve-train components, & rltd parts. Coord w/ mgmt & production personnel to convert customer & performance reqmts into manufacturable product dsgns & machining processes. Oversee machining-process execution, engine tuning, & QA procedures, incl testing on a 6,000-mph dynamometer, to ensure compliance w/ dsgn specs, dimensional tolerances, & co. standards. Review prototypes, production results, & test data to refine dsgns for function, durability, fit, finish, & manufacturability. Analyze defects & production issues & recommend dsgn or process improvements. Supv & coord industrial technologists & technicians engaged in machining, inspection, testing, & production support. Maintain dsgn, revision, testing, & quality records. Perform similar rltd duties as reqd. Reqmts: Must have 2 yrs prior F/T exp as managing mfg, production, assembly, or industrial operations.
